Renowned Painter to Visit NC and VA

Lucky Fish Gallery is pleased to announce the return visit of Ion Carchelon, one of Eastern Europe’s finest watercolorists. Mr. Carchelon will be in the United States for three weeks, from April 30th through May 16th, during which time he will exhibit his newest work at galleries throughout North Carolina and Virginia.
Ion Carchelon is often cited for his technical mastery, especially in rendering the subtleties of light. Most of his paintings are done in situ and depict rural scenes and the landscape of his native Moldova.
A realist, Carchelon’s work has an ineffable quality that is romantically nostalgic, but never cloying.
More than sixty of the artist’s newest paintings will be on exhibit at the various galleries on his itinerary. For information about show locations and dates, visit our website: moleefineart@info.com.
